Henry Vo (also known as TheLampWhoDraws online) is a graphic illustrator and designer who likes to make the visual story of his work easy to follow while being highly detailed. He tends to work on illustration, concept art, and comics, but does not shy away from logo design, branding, and layout design.
His illustration skills are self-taught, but much of his design philosophy comes from both formal education and media. Many of his works are created using digital tools such as Adobe CC, Clip Studio Paint, and Procreate, but he also played with other media like animation.
Henry earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana Tech University in Graphic Design, with a minor in Creative Illustration. During his time in college, he has worked with LaTech’s VISTA program to create flyers about microplastics. He also worked with a college senior to create a promotional poster for his capstone.
In his free time, he likes to play indie games, watch animated shows, and read manga, but he also likes to spend his time admiring the amazing artwork done by their talented artists. He also maintains an online persona as a lamp on Instagram, though you won’t find any pictures of him trying to attract moths at night.
